What is the efficiency of Day4 DNA solar panels?

Solar panels will all Day4 DNA Technologies are up to 15% efficient, however, it’s important to note that module efficiency is really an instantaneous power calculation using the specifications from the Standard Test Conditions (STC).  A more relevant calculation is to know how much energy is generated in Kilowatt Hours (kWh) over the lifetime of the installation. Solar modules with Day4 technology have several innovative technologies that help them perform exceptionally well across a wide range of real-world, environments.

How heavy are solar panels?

How durable are solar panels with Day4 DNA Technology?

Solar panels with all of Day4′s DNA technologies are constructed with tempered glass and tested to withstand over 2 meters of snow load at typical installation angles and endure weights up to 1900 lbs (front load) and 840 lbs (back load), and the ability to survive winds up to 90mph (40m/s) in the worst-case installation position (almost vertical).

In addition, our solar panels with live-long™ Technology are designed to perform better standard PV modules in harsh environments (farms / greenhouses), variable climates and extreme weather conditions. Due to a watertight back-sheet material containing aluminum foil, solar panels with live-long™ Technology are protected against challenging environmental conditions, such as moisture, salt-mist and harmful gasses from greenhouses and farms that can affect the amount of energy delivered by a solar PV panel.

What is the lifetime of Day4 DNA enhanced solar panels?

How do solar panels increase the value of my home?

Solar energy can be one of the best home improvement investments you make. The typical rule of thumb regarding property value and solar PV systems states that for every dollar of energy savings in the first year, your home value increases by 20 dollars. How long does the installation process take?

An average residential or small-scale commercial installation can be completed in just a few days with minimal iconvenience. Much larger installations can take much longer, especially if one includes the time to receive permitting approval, if applicable, or to receive confirmation of eligibility for government incentives if available.

How do solar panels with Day4 Technology perform when it is cloudy or raining?

Solar panels with Day4 technology are designed to outperform conventional modules in low light conditions such as early morning, late afternoon or during cloudy weather. Compared to traditional, soldered busbar solar cells, our stay-powerful™ Technology enables a higher level of redundancy in the interconnection of PV cells (using less silver), resulting in more electrical contact points distributed throughout the surface of the cell to collect more of the sun’s energy. Higher efficiencies in low light conditions result in our solar panels producing more energy in daily operations and over the life-time of the product.

How do I maintain and care for solar panels once they are installed?

Solar panels have no moving parts and require little to no maintenance. An occasional cleaning of the front side of the panels will ensure optimal performance.

How much does a complete solar installation cost?

Pricing is very site specific. Varying factors include:
